The advanced "IUoU-I" (marine quality) ineractive 3-stage charging programme ensures a
highly effective and complete charge despite the AccuMate's compact size. This is achieved
as follows
A 1.2 Amps effective charge current is maintained constant throughout the main charging
stage for maximum charging efficiency and minimum charge time, for both 12V and 6V batteries.
The charging voltage is precisely monitored and when this has risen to 14.3V it is then held at
this level until the current as fallen to 200mA, to ensure full charge.
The charging programme now switches over to 'float charge" at a voltage limit of 13.6V for
correct long-term maintenance of batteries while out of service.
Should the current drawn by the battery during the maintenance "float charge" stage exceed (
for any reason ) 200mA, the charging programme automatically reverts to the constant current
charge stage until the battery is again fully charged. The device therefore additionally
provides a 'stand-by' function.
Totally safe even for untrained users. 100%
automatic apart from initial 6 or 12 Volt battery
selection.
The automatically controlled charging
parameters ensure no 'boiled-dry" or other
battery damage.
No worried about wrong battery connection or
accidental short-circuits. The circuit is
automatically protected and there are no fuses
to replace. There are no sparks even in
short-circuits conditions.
The charge current is automatically regulated
according to the constantly monitored internal
temperature to ensure AccuMate's temperature
remains safe even in hot locations.
